Record partial payments at ZEIT.IO

ZEIT.IO is a platform for the automatic billing of project times. Approved project times can be billed and credited automatically. The automatically created outgoing invoices and credit notes are valid e-invoices according to the ZUGFeRD standard.

In the ZEIT.IO invoice module, both outgoing invoices and incoming invoices can be marked as paid. This means you always have a good overview of outstanding invoices.

Sometimes, however, it happens that an invoice is only partially paid. Or you only partially pay an incoming invoice yourself because the service may need to be improved. The reasons can be very different. Previously, it was not possible to map such partial payments. That changes from today!

If you go to the detailed view of an outgoing or incoming invoice and scroll down a bit, there is now a section for payments. Here you can enter individual partial payments for the invoice, with the date and an optional note.

In the overview for all outgoing invoices, a progress bar is now displayed for the gross total, so you can easily see what percentage has already been paid.

If an invoice has only been partially paid, a half star will be displayed in the status column. If an invoice has been overpaid, two banknote icons will be displayed. This allows you to quickly see in the overview where there are partial payments or overpayments.
